Fire Mass zine contest

My alternative version of Fire Mass' zine cover will be printed for a week; grab your copy when it's ready, there's some cool stuff inside!

'Exposition' - T-shirt design

Quite hard day today, but I managed to convince myself to do something creative. Here's my t-shirt design (you can buy it from my Zazzle store - link in the panel on the right); I think it should look alright on white.
Created with 0.10 rapidograph - cool stuff, very precise.
The idea behind it was to get the feeling of old medical books, but add something unusual - hence the musical notation.

Birthday card Sandman

I made this Sandman birthday card for my friend today (I hope you'll like it, Szalej!). The Sandman by Neil Gaiman is one of those wonderful books which you read and re-read and re-read again, and always find a new gem hidden somewhere between the dusty pages.

My first time ever attempt with rendering Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. Brushpen on paper.

...and some doodle, again with brushpen.

More analog camera experiments...

Wednesday, 16 June 2010

My current experiments with an analog camera Nikon F80.

Horror zine cover design

Variant cover for a new horror magazine called Fire Mass. Took quite quick to finish, just two days. Publisher of this mag is running many different competitions; the winner of this one will have his cover printed for a week. Cool!

Here's some work in progress detail.

Tonight's creative outcome

I was reading a lot of early Hellblazer recently and the mood there is so powerful. Especially Dave McKean's 'Hold Me'.

Long exposure photo of the above sketch + some photoshopping.
